About Moose Construction Group
THE EXPERIENCE BEHIND THE WORK.
THE STORY BEHIND THE NAME.
Moose Construction Group is owner-led by Alex Fernbaugh, bringing together experience from residential construction, large commercial job sites, and a deeply personal story behind the company name.
Meet Alex Fernbaugh
A BROAD CONSTRUCTION BACKGROUND. A PERSONAL APPROACH.
Alex Fernbaugh is the owner of Moose Construction Group. His career has taken him from hands-on residential projects to major commercial construction environments, including work connected to contracts valued as high as $30 million. That range has shaped the way he approaches every job: understand the full scope, plan the work carefully, and remain accountable for the details.
Large commercial projects taught Alex how strong coordination, safety, scheduling, and communication keep complex work moving. Residential construction gave him an equally important perspective—every project is personal to the people who live there, and their property deserves to be treated with care.
Today, Alex brings both perspectives to decks, outdoor living spaces, flooring, bathrooms, repairs, and improvements for homes and businesses. Clients receive professional job-site standards with direct, owner-led service and craftsmanship that is meant to hold up long after the project is complete.

The dog behind the name
MOOSE WAS FAMILY. HIS LEGACY LIVES HERE.
Long before his name appeared on a company, Moose was an unforgettable part of Alex’s family. A Great Pyrenees and St. Bernard mix, he had a gentle loyalty, an enormous heart, and a joyful spirit that came alive whenever he had room to run and time to play.
Losing Moose left a space that could never truly be filled. Naming the company Moose Construction Group gave Alex a meaningful way to carry his memory forward—not only through the logo, but through the loyalty, heart, and lasting presence associated with his name. With every project, a part of Moose’s legacy continues.
